2021 is the 4th year for Teddy's Hike and we are excited for it's NEW LOCATION at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch.
We are inviting you, your family and friends to participate in our celebration of community. Join us at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch for a family friendly hike beginning at 9am. After the mile and a half loop with some optional educational pieces provided by the Heart J Center for Experiential Learning at Sylvan Dale, lunch will be provided. We understand not everyone can join us in person, but would love to have you join in a virtual hike wherever you live and share it with us to show your support. If you're not able to join us in person or virtually, but you would like to hike with us 'in spirit' we welcome that as well! Please choose the option that works best for you and get outside to show your support! If you need assistance, please contact the Community Kitchen at 970-278-1726. We'd love to see your hiking photos. Feel free to post your picture on the Facebook Event Page or simply use the hashtag #TeddysHike so we can see it. If you cannot hike, but would like to donate, we would welcome any donation. Funds raised from this event will go directly towards purchasing food to feed those in need in our community. One of our clients, Teddy, desired to create a fundraiser for the Community Kitchen that would celebrate the spirit of community that he felt whenever he was there. He came up with Teddy's Hike to be a physical representation of how people had walked alongside him on his journey during some trying times. Teddy's story of connecting with volunteers, feeling like he belonged and having a support system is just one of the many stories of the people who the Community Kitchen has helped.
